Strike Sewist Team
What it is: When we want to promote new or popular prints (or other products like craft kits or sewing supplies), we will send products free of charge to our Strike Sewists. Strike sewists get to propose the project of their choice, and are provided enough fabric to complete the project. Once made, we request our strikers to send us well-lit and fun pics of their makes and to post in at least 4 social media outlets ( FB groups, IG, Tik Tok, etc) and of course the ASF group!
Since we specialize in stretch fabrics, you must be comfortable sewing knit fabrics- swimwear knits, cotton spandex, and/or stretch mesh.
PROCESS: Strikers selected once per quarter.
1. Once selected, Strikers will be active for a quarter (3 months). If interested in continuing, strikers are able to reapply during the next open call.
2. Strikers are only required to create 1 project per month.
3. Each month, there will be a theme to guide the strikers’ projects. It will provide a general design idea, and the fabric allotment for it. For example, one theme may be “ One Yard Wonders ”- a challenge to make something stunning with just 1 yard of fabric. Creating for the theme is NOT required. If the striker would like to create a project outside of the monthly theme, they must submit a project proposal prior to the fabric ship date ( 5th of the month).
4. The monthly theme will be posted by the 1st of each month. Strikers must confirm their fabric selections by the 4th of the month by submitting an order via the STRIKE SEWIST portal on ASF.com. Only the flat rate shipping fee will be charged. Fabric is shipped by the 5th of each month (if the 5th is a holiday or Sunday, the fabric will be shipped the following business day).
5. Modeled photos are due by the last day of each month, unless an extension is requested within the project proposal. Extensions are generally reserved for more complicated garments such as formalwear or for international strikers who receive fabric shipments later than those in the US.
Who it’s for: Sewists of all experience levels who can meet deadlines and take high quality photos.

Sewing Pattern Test Team ( coming soon )
What is is : We will be launching our PDF sewing pattern collection in spring 2023! We will need several pattern testers. You will receive the digital pattern, plus sewing instructions, and tutorial video ( if applicable) and will provide us feedback on the pattern itself ( sizing, markings, format), final product fit, ease of process, clarity of instructions, etc.
Who it’s for: Makers with exceptional attention to detail and great written and verbal communication skills. Experience with commercial patterns is required. Experience with PDF sewing patterns is required.

ASF AffILiATE PROGRAM ( Revamp in progress)
What it is: As an affiliate for African Stretch Fabric, you will receive a unique referral link to share with your audience ( peers, followers, friends, etc), as well as a custom coupon code. The link will send your audience directly to the ASF website in order to view our products and make a purchase. Every time someone makes a purchase through your link or using your coupon code, you will be paid a commission or credit towards a future ASF purchase . A monthly report will be sent detailing your conversions (sales) and payment is sent via Paypal between the 1st and 5th of the following month. So, if you sign up on January 1st, you will be paid for all of your sales for the month of January at the beginning of February.
Also, you are free to use your own code for a discount on any of your own personal purchases, and these purchases will also count as a conversion for you.
Who it’s for: Content creators with an active audience- Youtube, TikTok, admin of a Facebook group, etc, especially if your platform has high engagement from your followers/subscribers

Content Sponsorship
What it is: If you are a content creator in the sewing / textile / creative space, we would love to collaborate to create unique, branded content. We provide fabric (and occasionally other supplies) and work alongside content creators to make both short form and long form content such as IG Reels, Youtube Shorts, TikToks, full length Youtube Videos, Blog posts, etc. This is also a paid arrangement. Creators who we sponsor are usually enrolled in our affiliate program as well.
